STU SINGER - Mental Performance Coach

Stu Singer enters his 2nd year as the Mental Performance Coach for Nova Premier SC, and has played an integral role in helping developing our teams.  Nova believes strongly in the responsibility to develop the whole athlete while at our Club, and this includes their mental and emotional growth as young athletes.  To that end Coach Singer focuses on the psychological performance of our players.  Player motivation, confidence, focus, time-management, stress-management, leadership, and team building among others are the varied topics that he covers with our players.  Coach Singer, in conjunction with our coaches can provide various group discussions on mental game topics.

To provide on-going mental skill development for our athletes that teaches mental skills to aid in the transition to playing at the elite level, as well as supporting all of their performance goals during their entire career within the Nova Premier Soccer Club.  The support is designed to not only aid our athletes to be athletically successful but also to be as comfortable and engaged as possible throughout their experience with Nova. The ultimate focus is to build a foundation that allows our athletes to reach their athletic, academic, and personal goals.

Coach Singer has his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and his doctorate (ABD) in Sports Performance Psychology.  Coach Singer is the Performance Psychologist for the University of Maryland’s women’s basketball team who has reached back to back-to-back NCAA Final Fours, and has served in a similar role with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun and Washington Mystics.  Locally, coach Singer works with Bishop Feehan and Mansfield girl’s soccer, Shamrock Soccer Academy, and individual players with the New England Revolution.

Susan Bump-Rodrigues - Business Manager

I joined the Nova Premier Soccer Club in 2006 when my older daughter, Samantha, became a player for the Nova Fire team. In 2009, my younger daughter, Evaline, then joined Nova. I became a team manager in 2010 for the Sparks team. In 2014, I became the General Manager for the club overseeing all the team’s managers. I have a degree in Business Management which helped me expand my responsibilities with the club to now Business Manager.
